YourStory: Workshops
WOL.jpg

This two-Sunday* workshop, led by playwright Sarah Fenner King and improv artist and instructor Sue Ellen Reiman, will explore creating scenes and plays through individual, collaborative, and devised theatre methods.

The workshop will provide basic methods of creating characters and plots for a theatre script, inspire the creation of characters and conflict in storytelling, and ultimately arrange the rough draft of a play script created through improv exercises.

Playwriting exercises will cover Character Creation, Conflict, Plot, and Scene Writing.

Improv exercises will help participants establish character traits and interactions, develop locations, time periods, and character status, and develop a narrative for their plays.

*Participants are required to attend both Sundays. For the health and safety of attendees, masks will be required. Snacks and beverages will be provided at break times at no charge. Participants may bring their own snacks if desired.
